Overview
Back in 1919, Mathilde has been 19 yrs of age. A couple of years earlier, her fiancé Manech left for the front. Like millions of others he was"murdered on the field of battle." It's written on the state note in white and black. But Mathilde refuses to believe it. She'd understand, if Manech had expired. She hangs on to her intuition because she'd onto the thread of trust linking her. An former sergeant informs her in vain that Manech expired at the company of four additional men condemned to perish for untoward wounds, in the no man's property of a trench called Bingo Crepescule. Her route forward is filled with barriers however Mathilde is not frightened. Anything is achievable to someone who's ready to battle fate...
