In the case of a wife's murder attempt on the life of her cold-hearted husband, prosecutor Adam Bonner wins. The problem for him is that his wife Amanda (who is also a lawyer) has decided to take over the woman's defense in court. Adam is enraged by Amanda's zealous pursuit of victory in her legal battle. The upshot of this is a happy marriage that is occasionally tainted by arguments about trivial things.
