Overview
American Dreams is a American television Play program broadcast over the NBC television network, produced by Once A Frog and Dick Clark Productions in association with NBC Studios and Universal Network Television. The show Was Made by Jonathan Prince and developed by Prince and also Josh Goldstein. The latter was one of the manufacturers with Dick Clark. It debuted on September 29, 2002. The series is put in Philadelphia. It initially aired at 8:00 pm , but proceeded into the season finale from March 9, 2005, to the time on Wednesdays. The series tells the story of the Pryor family of Philadelphia through the mid-1960s. Season one takes place in 1963--64, season 2 in 1964--season three in 1965, and 65 --66. When it debuted in Australia, however the series had been known as Our Generation it was shifted back into American Dreams when it came back for the season.
The theme song"Generation" was written and performed by Emerson Hart, lead singer of the band Tonic. Hart was earned an ASCAP award for the Best Theme Song of Television by the song . The series was the 2003 TV Land Awards"Future Vintage" winner.
