Overview
An Innuit hunter races his sled home with a fresh-caught halibut. The picture is pervaded by this fish, in real and fanciful form. Meanwhile, fish is tagged by Axel as a naturalist's go fer at New York. A messenger arrives to bring him to Arizona for his uncle's wedding, although he is happy there. It's a ruse to get Axel in to the family enterprise. Back in Arizona, Axel lively and two women meet, needy, and plagued with neuroses and discord. He has involved in one, although the other, wealthy but miserable, plays accordion songs to a Bunch of turtles
