Eugene and Rick are two poor artists who live together in a studio apartment. Rick, on the other hand, has reservations about this, as Eugene is infatuated with pulp fiction comic books and suffers from nightmares as a result. Rick quickly realizes that his nightmares may provide wonderful content for his own comic books.
