Three years after the original Battle Royale, Shuya Nanahara is a globally renowned terrorist bent on overthrowing the government. On Christmas Day, his terrorist cell, Wild Seven, destroys many buildings in Tokyo, killing 8000 people. The new pupils are paired up to explore the benefits of "teamwork" and their collars are electrically linked so that if one dies, the other dies as well. They have three days to murder Nanahara or die.
