In 1856, British India was a part of the country called India. Jeffrey Claybourne, a captain in the U.S. Navy, gets a very harsh punishment for not following an order. Because he didn't think he was good enough for his fiancee, Claybourne left the army until he could get his reputation back. During the attack by the Rajah Karam on the British forces in India, Claybourne has a chance to make things right with his old friends.
