Overview
Bette is a CBS TV show that started on October 11, 2000. It was the first time that actress Bette Midler played the lead role in a TV show. A "one-season wonder," it only had 16 episodes. The last one aired on CBS on March 7, 2001. In total, 18 episodes were made, and the last two were shown on HDTV and in foreign markets at the same time. Jeffrey Lane made Bette, and Midler was one of the people in charge of the show.
