Overview
Orfeu and Eurydice, two young lovers, flee through Rio's favelas during Carnaval, dodging a hitman dressed as Death and Orfeu's spiteful fiancée Mira and traveling between periods of fantasy and stark reality. With its soundtrack by young Brazilian composers Luiz Bonfá and Antonio Carlos Jobim, this impressionistic version of the Greek legend of Orpheus and Eurydice introduced bossa nova to the world.
