Break is a heartwarming tale of rags to riches. The film chronicles the escapades of Spencer Pryde (Sam Gittins), a bright inner-city youth who wastes his abilities on petty crime. After witnessing his friend Denis's brutal murder and becoming in debt to a drug dealing thug named Ginger, Spencer's life appears to be spiraling out of control, until a chance encounter with a Chinese stranger and former eight-ball pool champion named Vincent Quiang (David Yip) presents him with an opportunity to turn his life around. However, before Spencer can create a new life for himself, he must first overcome peer pressure, his environment, and any other negative factors in his existing existence.
