Captain Flamingo is a Canadian animated television series that follows the exploits of Milo Powell, the series' protagonist and primary character. It aired on YTV in Canada on February 7, 2006, and is currently airing on Jetix in the UK, Nicktoons in Australia, and The Heroic Film Company in Canada. The animated series was created by Atomic Cartoons, Breakthrough Films & Television, The Heroic Film Company, and PASI Animation. On January 28, 2008 at 8:30AM, Toon Disney's new schedule premiered this show that was originally scheduled to air on JETIX in the United States in 2007. Captain Flamingo had been taken from the Toon Disney schedule as of August 12, 2008, but he will return on September 2 at 5:30 a.m. Once again, Captain Flamingo was pulled off the U.S. airwaves when Toon Disney relaunched into Disney XD on February 13, 2009. The age of the title character is unknown. He doesn't have any notable superpowers; all he has is a desire to assist "li'l kids" in need. Among his "super powers" are whoopee cushions and other novelty goods. YTV no longer airs reruns, although reruns are now shown on the Nickelodeon channel in Canada.
