When National Geographic photographer James Balog asked,"How can you shoot a picture of climate change?" His attention was immediately drawn to icehockey. He was asked to complete a cover story on glaciers that became the well read and most used part in the magazine during the previous five decades. However, also for Balog, that narrative marked the beginning of a far larger and longer-term project that could reach epic proportions.
