Overview
The year is no longer1985; it is now1986, and according to his long-suffering captain, Chuck Steel is "the best Goddamn cop on the force." But even this renegade, renegade, loose cannon, lone wolf, cop on the edge, who doesn't follow the rules, has his work cut out for him when the Governor of Los Angeles decides to reduce the licensing hours for clubs and bars, causing a sudden, inexplicable rash of high-profile disappearances in the city. There is no trace of the victim at the bloodstained crime scenes. When one of the victims manages to escape, the police get a breakthrough in the investigation. Chuck travels to the hospital to interview the victim but is greeted by a deranged elderly guy named Abraham Van Rental. Chuck is warned that a horrible plague is going to come upon the city of Los Angeles: the scourge of the TRAMPIRES, a mutant combination of vampire and tramp.
