When James Downey returns to Newfoundland for his mother's burial, he is confronted with all the lingering family difficulties he though he had left behind. He channeled his inner demons from an abusive father into becoming a police officer, but Danny's childhood tragedy has burst into a cycle of drugs, crime, and violence. James must confront his tortuous past, determine his true identity, and deal with his cousin before it is too late.
