Overview
Earth: Final Conflict is a Canadian science fiction TV show that was made with the help of Gene Roddenberry's widow, Majel Barrett-Roddenberry. The show is based on story ideas that Gene Roddenberry came up with. It wasn't made, filmed, or shown until after he passed away. From October 6, 1997, to May 20, 2002, it had five seasons. The show's original name was Battleground: Earth, but the producers changed it because it was too similar to the name of a book by L. Ron Hubbard called Battlefield Earth. Majel Barrett-Roddenberry was the show's executive producer. She also played the character Dr. Julianne Belman in some early episodes. Barrett had some notes that Roddenberry had written down about ideas for stories and series. After he died, these notes became the basis for this series.
