Flipper, from Ivan Tors Movies in association with metro goldwyn mayer Television, is the American television program broadcast on NBC in September 19, 1964, before April 15, 1967. Flipper, a dolphin, is the companion creature of Porter Ricks, Chief Warden at Marine Preserve and fictional Coral Key Park in southern Florida, and his two sons, Sandy and Bud. The series has been dubbed an"aquatic Lassie", and a significant amount of juvenile merchandise motivated by the series was produced during its first-run.
