Priest became watchful Father John (Van Cleef) pursues a group of criminals lead by Sam Clayton (Palance) who murdered a local bar patron. On the gang's return to the town, they murder the priest and abandon Johnny, a young parishioner. He now seeks vengeance for the holy man's death.
