When Godzilla came back to Japan in 1984, the movie was called The Return of Godzilla. This is the much-reworked, renamed "Godzilla 1985." New footage of Raymond Burr has been added to the 16th Godzilla movie, which doesn't follow any other films. It is a direct follow-up to the 1956 "Godzilla King of the Monsters," which also had scenes with Burr cut into the 1954 "Godzilla." This movie brings back the darker tone of the original. We see the nuclear destruction of a giant lizard that terrorizes Japan in this film.
