When the Great Depression kicks in, things get rough for her pals and Carol, Trixie and Polly and the Broadway shows down. Wealthy songwriter Brad saves the afternoon by funding a new Depression-themed musical for those girls to superstar, but when his stuffy highsociety brother realizes and threatens to disown Brad, Carol and her gold-digging friends plot to continue to keep the series moving, hooking a couple of millionaires along the way.
