After a card video game Southerner Owen Pentecost discovers himself the proprietor of a Denver resort. Involved with two ladies - one who included the resort, and also one recently arrived from the East to open a boutique - he then has to make extra fundamental selections when, with the begin of the Civil Battle, he becomes one of a little minority in a strongly Unionist town.
