The young Harold resides in his own world of suicide-attempts and funeral visits to avoid the distress of his existing family and home atmosphere. Harold meets with an 80-year-old woman called Maude who resides in her own world yet one by which she's having the time of her lifetime. So they become best friends and If both opposites meet they understand their differences do not matter and love eachother.
