Overview
Hogan's Heroes is a popular American sitcom that aired on the CBS network for 168 episodes between September 17, 1965 and July 4, 1971. The show debuted on September 17, 1965. During World War II, the action of the show took place in a prisoner of war camp run by the Germans. Bob Crane appeared in the role of Colonel Robert E. Hogan, who was responsible for directing a multinational team of Allied inmates who managed a Special Operations organization from within the camp. Werner Klemperer took on the role of Colonel Wilhelm Klink, the camp's commandant, and John Banner portrayed the incompetent role of Hans Schultz, the camp's sergeant-of-the-guard. During its span of six seasons, the series enjoyed a large amount of viewership. A movie that is based on the show is now in the works, and its creators, Bernard Fein and Albert S. Ruddy, purchased the rights to make a sequel and other separate rights to Hogan's Heroes from Mark Cuban through arbitration in 2013.
