After the Civil War, Dan and Neil Hammond return to Texas. With the help of rustling and land transactions, Dan is building an empire. Neil, who is now the Marshal, saves him from a lynch mob after he has been accused of a murder. However, the two brothers have a falling out, and good ultimately triumphs over evil.
