Overview
I'm Alan Partridge is a BBC situation comedy starring Steve Coogan, with two series of six episodes each being produced between 1997 and 2002. The sitcom followed Alan Partridge, a failed television host whose adventures were parodied in Knowing Me, Knowing You with Alan Partridge and who now hosts a radio show in Norwich. Both series were written by Peter Baynham, Coogan, and Armando Iannucci; Coogan was supported by Felicity Montagu as his devoted, mouse-like personal assistant Lynn Benfield, Simon Greenall as Geordie Travel Tavern handyman/BP garage attendant Michael, and Phil Cornwell as radio DJ Dave Clifton. It has gotten positive reviews from both reviewers and fans and has been nominated for three BAFTAs, two British Comedy Awards, and a Royal Television Society award.
