Overview
The timeless legend of Jason and the Golden Fleece served as inspiration for the film Jason and the Argonauts. When Jason was still a child, he was present to his uncle Pelias's savage overthrow and execution of his paternal family by killing his father. After a period of twenty years, Jason travels back to his homeland in order to assume his rightful position as king. However, Pelias issues an order for Jason's execution, and in order to avoid this fate, Jason is compelled to embark on a perilous journey to locate the famous Golden Fleece. As a result, Jason assembles an unruly group of sailors and sets sail on the Argo. This Hallmark Production was developed into a two-part mini-series event, with Jason London playing the role of Jason and Jolene Blalock playing the role of Medea.
