Overview
Made shortly after his death, this docudrama explores the short life as well as remarkable tradition of guitarist Jimi Hendrix. After finding popularity in the U.K., Hendrix brought his act to the U.S., where his influential playing style left a blazing imprint on an entire generation of artists. Using meetings with family members and contemporaries, such as Eric Clapton, as well as scorching live performances from Woodstock and Island of Wight, the movie paints an enduring picture of a rock 'n' roll tale.
