A teenaged snowboarding champion from Vermont, johnny Kapahala, returns to Oahu, Hawaii, for the marriage of his protagonist -- his grandfather surf legend Johnny Tsunami -- and also to capture some Kauai waves that are famous. After Johnny arrives, he matches with his new family for example"Uncle Chris" (that the 12-year-old son of his fresh step grandmother ) who adores the upcoming marriage. Chris real interest is to join a mountain biking crew headed by a teenaged bully. When Johnny's grandfather along with his wife open a surf shop that caters to mountain boarders, they are embroiled in a turf war with a shop owner who wishes to shut their business down.
