One day, Koyomi Araragi comes face to face with the terrifying vampire Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade, also known as the "King of Apparitions," who takes her hostage. As a result of his sacrifice of blood at the risk of his own life as a human, he is able to save Kiss-shot from death. In order to recover Kiss-limbs, shot's Koyomi must now face the vampire hunters, who have captured and imprisoned her.
