Overview
Klovn is a Danish sitcom that first broadcast on the Danish TV channel TV2 Zulu. It focuses on the lives of the main characters Frank and Casper. The show's humor comes from quiet everyday situations, social awkwardness, uncomfortable silences, and general faux pas. Klovn has a lot in common with the American sitcom Curb Your Enthusiasm by Larry David, especially the main idea of a semi-retired comedian and his wife, friends, and famous acquaintances getting into funny and embarrassing situations. The show is also fake-realistic, so a first-time viewer might not know if it is real or not. Even the score is the same. In spite of this, the show's closing credits say that Casper Christensen and Frank Hvam came up with it on their own. There are 60 episodes of the sitcom, which are spread out over 6 seasons. Each episode is 25 minutes long. The last season, which is the sixth, aired from February 23 to April27, 2009. Klown, a movie based on the series with an original plot, came out on December16, 2010.
