Overview
Lassie is a American television series that follows the adventures of a Rough Collie dog called Lassie and her partners, human and creature. The series was televised from September 1-2, 1954, to March 24, 1973 and was that the production of producer Robert Maxwell and creature trainer Rudd Weatherwax. Before entering first-run syndication for its final two 25, one of the series on tv chalked up 1 seasons on CBS. Filmed in white and black, the series transitioned to color in 1965.
The series's first ten seasons follow the adventures in a small farming community of Lassie. Jeff Miller , his mum, and his grandfather are the very first individual partners of Lassie before his parents and seven-year-old Timmy Martin take over in the season. She discovers adventures in the wilderness with a succession of United States Forest Service Rangers when Lassie's pops on the farm end at the season. After traveling leads for per year, Lassie settles at a children's home on the two seasons that are thirds.
Lassie received critical celebrity at its debut and won 2 Emmy awards. June Lockhart and stars Jan Clayton were nominated for Emmys. Produced during the show's run contained books, clothing a Halloween costume, toys, as well as other products. The show host, campbell's Soup, distributed thousands to fans, also offered two premiums. A episode was edited in to the feature film Lassie's Great Adventure and published in August 1963.
