A dysfunctional family lives in rural Texas: an aggressive father who is a Vietnam veteran with an impotent battle wound; a docile wife and a son who is about 20 years old; and two young sons who resemble their brother. The father is hiding something, and he will go to any length to conceal it. Jimmy, the young man, harbors suspicions but says little until a Yankee woman arrives in town.
