Overview
The Prince Regent of the Qing Dynasty orders the execution of the entire Meng family in the nineteenth century. He promises to his family before he is beheaded to avenge this injustice. Five-year-old Erkui bravely sings an aria as he awaits his death. Master Yu and his seven-year-old student Guan Yilong are moved by the force and purity of his voice. Master Yu rescues the orphan and the two orphans become brother and sister. ' Later, Master Yu earns the "The Mightiest Warrior" plaque from the Prince Regent, but loses it to his archenemy Master Yue when they engage in a duel. Due to his defeat, Master Yu was exiled from the stage and now spends his time teaching the two younger brothers in the hamlet the martial arts.
