My Life as a Teenage Robot is an American animated science fiction television series created for Nickelodeon by Rob Renzetti. It was Nickelodeon's first science-fiction fairy tale animated short. The series chronicles the exploits of XJ-9, also known as Jenny Wakeman, a robot girl created to safeguard Earth who is excessively addicted to teen-related activities and is frequently interrupted by her creator and mother, Nora Wakeman. The premiere episode of Nickelodeon aired on August1, 2003. After the series was canceled, later episodes began appearing on Nicktoons Network as "never before seen episodes." The series is released outside the United States by Nelvana Limited, a Canadian animation studio. The first season can be downloaded on iTunes. Amazon offers all three seasons on DVD, although it is unknown if Shout! Factory will distribute them elsewhere.
