Overview
Like a man with the beard and turban, AMRIT SINGH is frequently the mark of racial profiling. However, when he sees his dreams to become Chief of Surgery at a transplant center dwindle due to his look, Amrit goes against a convention he has maintained his lifetime and blows off his hair. Seeing this decision from family and his girlfriend in Toronto is just the beginning of a series of compromises Amrit finds himself earning because he copes with healthcare injustices and hospital politics. Amrit begins to reevaluate the worthiness of the religious customs he had turned his back when his compromises end in a patient's death.
