In pre war Italy, a young couple have a baby boy. The dad, however, is jealous of his son - and also the scene proceeds into antiquity, where the infant is taken to become murdered. He's rescued, given the name Edipo (Oedipus), also mentioned by the King and Queen of Corinth because of their kid. That an oracle in-forms Edipo that he is destined to kill his father and wed his mother, one evening. Horrified, he flees Corinth and his presumed parents - just to get into a fight and kill a older man on the road...
