Play based on the 1996 kidnapping and murdering of seven monks in Algeria. Where they live in harmony with the largely muslim population Friends of monks live at Algeria in the monastery of Tibhirine. When a bloody battle between Algeria's army and Muslim Jihadi insurgents disrupts the serenity, they are forced to consider tripping the monastery and deserting that the villagers they have ministered to. At the face of deadly violence that the monks wrestle with their faith and their convictions deciding to stay and allow their acquaintances keep the insurgents and also the army at bay.
