In1939, WBN, the fourth American radio network, is preparing to launch. Penny Henderson, the owner's secretary, must deal with an unsatisfied sponsor, an overbearing boss, and a soon-to-be-ex-husband who badly wants her back, as if the chaos of opening night wasn't enough. As the show begins, a mysterious voice interrupts it, and the cast members are found dead. Roger, her husband, must determine whodunit while the cops pursue him through the WBN hallways.
