Maud, a self-effacing young nurse who has recently found God, comes at a luxurious house to care for Amanda, a hedonistic dancer with a chronic illness who has become feeble. When a chance encounter with a former coworker reveals signs of a shady past, it becomes evident that sweet Maud has a more complicated past than she lets on.
