Overview
The long-running Hanna-Barbera Saturday morning cartoon series Scooby-Doo debuted with the episode "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! " in its original format. It debuted on September13, 1969 at 10:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST), was created by Joe Ruby and Ken Spears, and lasted for a total of 25 episodes over the course of two seasons. In January of 1971, the show's final episode to be broadcast in its original run aired. The opening and closing sequences from the 1969 Scooby Doo, Where Are You! television show were used for the initial airing of nine episodes from the Scooby-Doo seasons that ran on ABC from 1976 to 1978. Sometimes, the entire series that aired from 1976 to 1978 is marketed as the third and fourth seasons of the original "Where Are You!" series.
