Overview
Love-struck newly-weds, north Carolina mountains at the close of this 1920s -- both George along with Serena Pemberton, begin to build a timber empire. Serena soon proves herself to be corresponding to any man: overseeing loggers, hunting rattle-snakes rescuing a guy's life from the wilderness. Using sway and power in their palms, the Pembertons refuse to let anybody stand in the way of their inflated love and ambitions. Once George past is discovered by Serena and faces an fate of her own, the Pemberton marriage begins to unravel resulting toward a striking reckoning.
