Overview
Spawn, a cartoon series created by Todd McFarlane and broadcast on HBO from 1997 to 1999, was an animated television series. The film series is also available on DVD. It was nominated for and won an Emmy for Outstanding Animation Program in 1999. It is based on the Spawn comic series by Image Comics. Spawn: The Animation, a separate series, has been in development since2009, with Keith David resuming his role as the main character. The series, like the comic book, contains violent violence, sexual scenes, and a lot of profanity.
