Overview
A divorced man falls in love, but his ex-wife remains a thorn in his side. This has a humorous impact on his romantic life. Dan Wakefield's novel served as the inspiration for this film. Burt Reynolds is a handsome middle-aged guy who has a confidence crisis after being dumped by his ambitious singer wife (Candice Bergen), until he forms a new relationship with an equally insecure instructor (Jill Clayburgh). But he knows where his devotion lies when his wife tries to reconcile with him through seduction and a particularly terrible song she made for him.
