Overview
Melanie McGuire was an amazing fertility nurse, married to her husband Bill, who had served in the Navy, and the doting mother of two boys. The surprising events in this novel are based on a true story. Melanie does the unimaginable when she finds herself involved in a torrid love affair with Brad, a doctor who works at her clinic. After drugging and killing Bill, she then dismembers his body and stores the body parts in three bags before tossing the suitcases into the Chesapeake Bay. However, when the suitcases are discovered on the sands of Virginia Beach, an inquiry is initiated, and Melanie is subsequently identified as the primary suspect. Melanie is eventually brought to justice by the authorities, thanks in large part to the work of assistant attorney general Patti Prezioso. Despite the fact that she was found guilty, Melanie continues to insist that she is innocent.
