Overview
The Amanda Show is a live-action sketch comedy and variety show that originated in the United States and was broadcast on Nickelodeon between the dates of October 16, 1999 and September 21, 2002. It starred Amanda Bynes, Drake Bell, and Nancy Sullivan, in addition to a number of performing artists that appeared and disappeared throughout the course of the show, such as John Kassir, Raquel Lee, and Josh Peck. The show was an offshoot of All That, in which Bynes had starred for a number of seasons prior to its production. The blog of the show's creator, Dan Schneider, states that the program was abruptly canceled before the close of the year 2002. The show was written by a team that included Dan Schneider, Andrew Hill Newman, Steven Molaro, and John Hoberg. Drake & Josh is a new series that was established by Dan Schneider two years after The Amanda Show came to an end. Drake Bell, Josh Peck, and Nancy Sullivan are the three main cast members.
