Overview
One fateful night in a small English theater during World War II that a troupe of touring performers stage a production of Shakespeares King Lear. Bombs are falling, sirens are wailing, the drape is up within an hour or so but the actor/manager Sir who is currently playing with Lear is nowhere to be viewed. His dresser Norman has to scramble to maintain the production living but will Sir generate in time of course, when he does will he be able to carry out? The Dresser is a funny and profoundly moving story of devotion and friendship as Sir attempts to reconcile his tumultuous friendships prior to the final curtain with those in his employ and reflects his lifelong accomplishments.
