Overview
After her husband departed to go sheep droving in the high country in1893, a heavily pregnant Molly Johnson and her children struggle in seclusion to survive the harsh Australian countryside. She one day discovers an injured, shackled Aboriginal fugitive named Yakada on her farm. He divulges details about her true identity as an odd friendship between them develops. Nate Clintoff, a new local lawman, becomes skeptical when he learns that Molly's husband is genuinely gone and dispatches his constable to look into it.
