A group of high school friends are excited for the start of summer. They include Kenny Leeds, Mike Decker and Tommy Kingsley. His father, a widowed salesman, is on a business trip with his secretary-fiancée while Kenny is sent to stay with his grandparents in Buffalo. With nowhere to go but "Rosie's," a fictional Niagara Falls brothel just across the border in Canada, Kenny begins writing letters to his two buddies about his exploits.
