Overview
The Sport is an American television set created by Mara Brock Akil. The series surfaced as the brand new comedy series chosen for the prime time schedule of its CW. Along with Runaway, it was clearly one of just two string on the network not to be inherited in either of its predecessor networks, UPN and The WB, through the first season of the network. The series is a spin off of those sit-com.
After three seasons, The CW in May 2009 canceled the series. BET struck a bargain with The Game's parent company CBS to create fresh episodes of the series, relocating taping of the show and announcing its renewal. The overall game came back to the atmosphere for a fourth season on January 1 1, 2011, with a recordbreaking 7.7 million audiences. The series was released on January 10, 2012, and was revived for a fifth season. Tia Mowry-Hardrict announced that she will not return to the set. Back in June 2012, it was confirmed that celebrity Jay Ellis and actress Lauren London had joined the cast.
Back in April 2013, it has been announced that The Sport has been revived for a season that is set to premiere in 2014.
