Known for his psychological thrillers, Hitchcock ladies were trendy, beautiful and preferably blond. 1 such celebrity was an unknown fashion model awarded her major break when Hitchcock's wife watched on a TV commercial, Tippi Hedren. Delivered to Universal Studios, while the manager, at the summit of the career, quickly throw her to star in his second feature, Hedren was shocked, 1963's The Birds.
