Overview
The Guild is an American humor webseries compiled and created . It was released on YouTube on July 27, 2007. Seasons two webisodes premiered on Microsoft's Xbox Live Market Place, Zune Market Place, along with MSN Video. The webisodes were made available on iTunes, YouTube, and the state Guild website. According to Day, the business design of Microsoft shifted after season five. Day wished to keep ownership, so the episode premieres transferred to Day's YouTube station Geek & Sundry. The webisodes are also available via loading and DVD on Hulu and Netflix.
The show revolves around the lifetime of some gamers' on the web guild, The Knights of Fine, who play hours of a dream MMORPG game entitled The Sport. The narrative centers around Codex, the guild's Priestess, who tries to lead a normal life after one of her guildmates, Warlock Zaboo, shows up on her doorstep.
Joss Whedon credits The Guild as one of those inspirations for Dr. Horrible's Sing along Website, which also starred Felicia Day.
The season premiered on October 2, 2012 on Geek & sun-dry.
In a telephone interview following the season's conclusion, Felicia Day confirmed that The Guild webseries is complete.
